Carius

THE METHODOLOGY

Your regimen should respond
to what actually happened.

Carius is a deterministic training system. It uses your workout performance to create a valid plan, then treats logged performance as evidence for future workout programs.

01

Understand the lifter

Experience, goals, equipment, schedule, and constraints define the valid starting space.

02

Build the prescription

The engine selects exercises and prescribes volume, intensity, rep targets, and effort.

03

Observe performance

Completed load, repetitions, RIR, and training history reveal whether the prescription fits.

04

Adapt across weeks

Progression rules respond to demonstrated capacity; sustained plateaus can trigger broader program adjustments.

THE SIGNALS

Why does logged exercise performance matter?

A training engine needs signals that describe training. Load, completed repetitions, target completion, RIR, and changes across multiple weeks reveal whether a prescription was achievable and appropriately difficult. Engagement events such as opening a notification can support habit features, but they do not prove that a squat prescription should increase.

What does Carius adapt?

Depending on the evidence and time scale, the system can adjust load or repetitions, weekly set volume, exercise selection, frequency, and how work is distributed across a split. A single difficult session should not create chaos; broader changes require broader evidence.

Is adaptation the same as constant variety?

No. Random changes destroy useful comparisons. Carius preserves continuity so performance can be measured and changes a variable when a defined programming condition supports that decision.

REALISTIC PROGRESSION

Progress is shown in the gym, not promised on a calendar.

Beginners can often progress quickly. As strength and experience grow, improvement usually slows. Carius does not assume every workout must beat the last; it looks for achievable progression, sustained trends, and plateaus that justify intervention.
